Boowop Bree is a small town girl from the USA. She has an insatiable love for music and is passionate about her job as a mortician assistant. In her down-time she enjoys watching horror movies, baking, and camping with her family.
Bree's kitty's name is Akasha and her husband takes her fabulous photos! Congratulations Boowop Bree!
How did you choose your Pinup name? That's easy, my love for the boo-wop/ horror punk music, good stuff. I remember the first time listening to Mister Monster in high school off of a burned CD a friend made me. It had some Misfits, Cancerslug, and the last was a song by, (drumroll) Mister Monster. I was hooked! My name is Breanna but go by Bree. So, bada-bing bada-boom, there ya have it.
Why do you love pinup? It's where I'm the most comfortable. I enjoy putting my outfits together with a beautiful updo and bold lip. The thrill of hunting for vintage clothes, jewelry, etc. The music, vinyl records, and cars. My list can go on and on.
Would you like to share your favourite beauty tip? I don't care what people say, I believe all woman look sexy in a bold red lip. If attempting updos, don't give up and practice practice practice. Don't be afraid to make a mistake, make it work. Standing out is much more fun than fitting in. My number one overall is always have a self care day, do you boo boo.
What’s your favourite aspect of the Pinup and Rockabilly subculture? Of course I love it all but I have to say my favorite is all the encouraging, strong, and beautiful woman that inspire me in so many ways. Love you all!
When did you know that pinup was the right thing for you? I was five and watched the movie 'Grease' religiously(I know, so cliché). I fell in love with Danny Zuko and everything around him. I had one of those mom's that sewed most my clothes. I remember asking her to sew me a poodle skirt so I could wear it at school everyday. She didn't think the kids would be nice so it never happened. Now I can wear whatever I want and realized I could do pinup too.
When did you know that pinup was the right thing for you? Don't be afraid to look different. I'm not one who believes in sticking to one look all the time. Though pinup is my favorite, I think you should try it all, it's all fun.
Favourite business shoutout?

What living person, other than family members, do you most admire? Ooh, can I choose two? Wanda Jackson cause she's only like,The Queen of Rockabilly! I also super love the fact that she made an album with 'The Cramps'. Mamie Van Doren posed for Albert Vargas and was a "Vargas Girl". She was also one of the three M's along with Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield.
